Everything breaks down Just give it a little time That thing you love so much Is just gonna unwind Fall into little pieces End up on that pile You know that pile of stuff you loved so much But forgot about with time TEverything’s built to break Nothings built to last Time will tear it all down And time moves so fast It’s in the DNA of every beat and every break As sure as a heart knows how to love It sure knows how to ache And you couldn’t give that shit away You better rent some space And fill it with all those things You swore could never be replaced The heart is a junkyard Everything breaks down Everything falls apart The glass hits the ground The beat leaves the heart The bumble leaves the bee The world fall into the sea Im left picking up the pieces Of who I used to be But pain is pain And our pain is not the same My pain might not be your pain But it cannot be exchanged There’s no return You can’t build a fire for to burn All the things you learned From your pain You couldn’t give it all away You better rent some space Fill it full of all those things You swore you just couldn’t be replaced The heart is a junkyard

Bands of silver and an endless road I told you, forever You came to me didnt want my love You lightened your feather Your eyes are colder than the wind that blows From the river, forever Forever in my world, my world, my world x2 Bands of silver but you dont want love I told you id be here Sell me over for the right to be wait I need it, I want it Here in my heart, My dreams they go back to the fire My hearts still hoping for desire My words they follow me like honey in the mouth Of a bird that dont know how to cry Bands of silver and they don't cost nothing But twenty two dollars Words of sorrow and a cry of love I want you, I need you Chains are broken for the dryest Lily In the bible I want you Oh hearts like candles, mining for love And flicker only for the call I hold you lightly in the arms Of a coming storm
3.
Love Love Love Well I saw you shaking Heard your tiny heart just breaking Like a bird just waiting for the storm To pass Oh that rolling thunder Boy she really did a number on you You never thought that it would hit you Like that Oh Love, Love, Love, Love I guess its something you just dont get over Yeah, Love, Love, Love, Love I guess its something you just cant let go.

Did you grow a garden in the pocket of your blue jeans Just to keep the devil from pulling on your chain When your hands were idle did you hear him whisper your name So you grew yourself a garden in the pocket of your blue jeans Did you find something to pull you through these dark days Something to keep your spirits clean Green fingers not needed this tine of year You grew yourself a garden in the pocket of your blue jeans Seems like lately Everybody’s going crazy You grew yourself a field of daisies And you take them everywhere you go Didn’t need no blue sky Rain clouds or sunshine There’s never been a better time To watch your garden grow Did you grow a garden in the pocket of your blue jeans Just to keep the devil from knocking on your door There’s a part of you still aching to be back in that bad scene Instead, you grew yourself a garden in the pocket of your blue jeans

All of my life Digging holes I work construction Job’s on hold I found work Out on the island Digging graves The bodies were piling Steady work Pay’s alright Dig all day Bury at night Don't think too much It’ll drive you insane Tell myself I'm just a link in the chain Don't you even get me started This job, is not for the faint hearted Don’t you even start This job, is not for the faint of heart Somebody's job Putting names on the toe-tags Somebody's job Bodies in body bags Someone's job To zip it up A couple more Dump the bodies on the truck And another to drive His buddy’s by his side Full time delivery Day and night Don't you even get me started This job, is not for the faint hearted Don’t you even start This job, is not for the faint of heart Short term Part time That's what I thought But I got a job for life

What the fuck am I doing still here Drinking beer after beer after beer after beer The bathroom mirror sees it all so clear I’ve been sitting in this spot every night this year Alone and too old to even hold the attention of this German cougar It’s Thursday night so Daniels out of site He’s dragging his ass down at the Baracuda Spinning around in his party dress Singing and dancing like a Xmas princess Go on then Noah I’ll have just one more And maybe Alex csn show me the door And then oh Gio Gio oh Gio Gio send me home x2 In a bodybag This is becoming such a drag Best times I ever had Since Robin and Lauren disappeared It’s been like “no girls allowed in here” I catch Riley at the end of her shift And there’s a new girl but I don’t know who she is Maybe Whitney? Or Britney? We spoke once but she’s yet to drink with me And no one here has hushed me or used a finger to shush me Or done that hand thing you know the one They think is going to crush me So fuck it Noah I’ll have just one more And maybe it’s Jessi’s turn to show me door And then oh Gio Gio oh Gio Gio send me home x2 In a bodybag This is becoming such a drag Best times I ever had

about

Hi, me again! I know, know, i know...
Covid hit and then came lockdown which has been a tough but necessary new norm. As a musician (artist, writer or any kind of creative person - you know who you are) we either give up, or we use it. I made this record as a part of challenges from other creative friends and my own self drive. Im still trying to show up for life everyday and the people i respect are doing the very same.
Quarantine Vol:2 will no doubt follow shortly and sadly probably more volumes as we navigate this new and tough time.
My friends helped me make this a reaiity, taking on roles that they might have otherwise shunned and who could blame them?

Sally Hayes' collages grabbed my attention immediately from the first time i saw them (God bless the internet - not-always, but this time for sure) The fact that she agreed to do the cover and actually requested the lyrics before committing is just so incredible. I love the artwork and i love making music. These songs are infected with Covid-19 and may or may not survive but they are definately here for now.
Please consider actually purchasing (like spending cash money, money cash) on this collection for as much as you are comfortable spending (I've never said that before) but it's tough times in the world of making things up
Thank you.

Warren Malone New York, New York

"Warren Malone has created an absolutely amazing album.“And The Ants Ate The Bee” never sounds the same twice/absolutely spellbinding/each listen feels fresh and different/The album is like a audio kaleidoscope/And then there’s that voice…an entirely unique instrument that sounds like a slightly androgynous soul singer/this album deserves repeated spins."
